Prymax GRP Primer is a high-performance polyurethane primer designed to significantly improve the bonding of polyester resins and GRP systems to concrete, wood and metal substrates.
Its moisture-curing formulation allows application in damp (but not wet) conditions and at lower temperatures, making it ideal for challenging site conditions where standard primers may fail. Once applied, Prymax GRP Primer penetrates porous surfaces and prepares them for strong chemical adhesion.
When the primer reaches a partial cure, polyester resins applied over it will chemically bond to the surface, creating an exceptionally strong and reliable interface. This makes Prymax GRP Primer an excellent choice for bonding GRP laminates to porous and metal substrates in roofing, flooring and structural applications.
Prymax GRP Primer is easy to apply and provides consistent, dependable performance when used as part of a GRP installation system. It is particularly effective where enhanced adhesion and surface preparation are critical to long-term durability.

Prymax GRP Primer is supplied in a range of container sizes to suit different project requirements:
- 1kg – ideal for small repairs and localised GRP bonding jobs
- 2.5kg – suitable for medium-sized preparation and priming works
- 5kg – ideal for larger GRP installations and trade use
- 20kg – suitable for extensive commercial or industrial applications
