Mapei Planitop Smooth & Repair R2 is a one-component, fibre-reinforced, polymer-modified cementitious mortar designed for fast, high-performance concrete patch repairs and surface smoothing. Ideal for small-area restoration, edge repairs, and filling voids or honeycombs, it offers excellent adhesion and reduced shrinkage. Certified to EN 1504-3 (R2 class), it is suitable for both internal and external repairs on vertical and overhead surfaces without formwork.

Application Instructions

Substrate Prep: Remove all damaged or loose concrete, dust, and contaminants. Dampen surface to SSD (saturated surface dry) condition.

Mixing: Mix with clean water (approx. 5.0–5.5L per 25kg) until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved.

Application: Apply with a trowel in layers up to 40mm. Smooth the surface as required.

Finishing: Once cured, finish with paint, coating, or waterproofing system as appropriate.
Limitations
- Do not apply below +5°C or in strong direct sunlight or wind.
- Not suitable for structural repairs requiring R3 or R4-class products.
Health & Safety
Contains cement — may cause skin and eye irritation. Use gloves, goggles, and a dust mask. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for safe handling guidance.
