High-Build White Primer for MDF, Wood, Cabinetry & Furniture
High-Build Primer White is a very high-build, solvent-based, single pack primer for internal use. It is designed to provide a smooth and level base prior to painting, making it ideal where surface preparation and build are important before topcoating.
Fast drying and easy to apply, this primer is also easy to sand back once dry, helping create a cleaner and more even finish on prepared timber and board surfaces. The data sheet highlights it as particularly suitable for MDF, chipboard, plywood, softwood, hardwood, engineered wood, cabinetry, furniture, kitchens and shop displays.

Application Instructions

Surface Preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, dust-free and free from grease, oil, silicones and other surface contaminants.

Application Methods: Suitable for brush, roller or spray application.

Overcoating: Allow at least 30 minutes drying time before sanding and overcoating, with longer drying times below 18°C.

Spray Guidance: For airless spray use a 1.7mm or 1.8mm nozzle.

Thinning: If necessary, thin with Trade Coatings Thinner.
Storage
- Store indoors, away from direct sunlight, in the original container.
- Keep in a dry place between 5°C and 40°C.
