Trade Furniture Varnish is a versatile, decorative and durable pre-catalysed single pack varnish for internal wood. Designed to provide a beautiful, tactile finish, it is ideal for furniture, cabinetry, kitchens, doors, trim and other interior timber surfaces where a clear protective coating is required.

Ready to use straight from the tin with no pre-mixing required, this single pack varnish combines ease of use with dependable performance. It is moisture and chemical resistant, safe for food contact, and formulated to resist damage from most food items, water and alcohol, making it especially well suited to high-use interior woodwork.

Application Instructions

• Surface Preparation: Remove loose contamination such as dust and dirt. Ensure surfaces are grease free and sanded, then wipe with white spirit.
• Base Coats: Ideal for use over Trade Coatings Wood Stain, or for coat-on-coat application with a light sand between coats.
• MDF Use: When applying to MDF, use Trade Coatings MDF Sealer first as a base coat.
• Application: Suitable for brush, roller or spray application.
• Overcoating: Allow at least 30 minutes drying time before sanding and recoating, with longer times below 18°C.
• Spray Guidance: For airless spray use a 1.7mm or 1.8mm nozzle. Thin with Trade Coatings Thinner if required.

Curing & Aftercare

• Achieves full durable hardness over a period of a few weeks.
• During this period, clean using a damp soft cloth.

Storage & Safety

• Store indoors away from direct sunlight in the original container.
• Keep in a dry place between 5°C and 40°C.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Wear protective gloves and eye protection when handling.
