Mapei Mapelastic Smart is a high-performance, two-component, flexible cementitious membrane for waterproofing and protecting concrete, cement-based renders, and masonry substrates. Designed for both internal and external applications, it resists water ingress while maintaining elasticity and crack-bridging ability. Ideal for bathrooms, balconies, swimming pools, and façades, Mapelastic Smart is reinforced with fibre polymers and is highly resistant to UV exposure, freeze-thaw cycles, and environmental pollutants.

Application Instructions

1. Surface Prep: Substrate must be clean, sound, and saturated with water (SSD condition).
2. Mixing: Pour component B into a container and gradually add component A while mixing to form a smooth, lump-free paste.
3. Apply Coating: Use a trowel or brush to apply two coats. For enhanced reinforcement, embed Mapenet 150 between coats.
4. Final Finish: After curing (approx. 5 days), the surface can be tiled using an appropriate Mapei adhesive.

Limitations

• Not suitable for use without protection – always overlay with tile, render, or protection board.
• Do not apply below +5°C or during rainfall or high humidity.
