Low Modulus Silicone Weatherproofing Sealant for Glazing & Cladding

Dow Corning 799 Clear is a high-performance, one-part, low modulus neutral cure silicone sealant developed for weathersealing curtain walling, building facades, and glazing systems. It cures at room temperature to form a flexible, long-lasting seal that is highly resistant to weathering, UV radiation, and moisture.

Application Instructions

1. Preparation: Ensure substrates are clean, dry, and free of dust or grease. Mask areas if necessary.
2. Apply Sealant: Cut nozzle to desired width and apply a continuous bead using a caulking gun.
3. Tooling: Smooth the joint with a suitable tool within the skin time to ensure full contact.
4. Finish: Remove masking tape immediately after tooling. Allow to cure undisturbed.

Limitations

• Not recommended for structural glazing or underwater joints.
• Not suitable for surfaces contaminated with oils or solvents.
