Description
Description
Deep-Penetrating Chemical DPC for Treating Rising Damp in Masonry Walls
Biokil Crown Silicone Based Injection Fluid is a high-performance, silane/siloxane damp-proofing solution formulated to combat rising damp in brick, stone, and mortar structures. Designed for injection via pressure or gravity feed, it creates a durable chemical damp-proof course (DPC) by deeply impregnating the wall fabric. Ideal for use where traditional DPCs are absent or have failed, this fluid delivers long-term protection while maintaining the breathability of treated substrates.
Key Features & Benefits
- Proven Damp-Proofing Action: Effectively arrests rising damp by forming a water-repellent barrier within the wall.
- Silicone-Based Formula: Utilises silane/siloxane chemistry for deep penetration and reliable performance.
- Flexible Application: Suitable for both gravity-fed and pressure injection systems.
- Breathable Protection: Allows residual moisture and vapour to escape while preventing further ingress.
- Ideal for Heritage & Renovation: Suitable for use in sensitive or listed properties where damp control is critical.
Product Details
- Type: Silicone-based injection fluid
- Base: Silane/siloxane
- Form: Clear, ready-to-use liquid
- Application Method: Injection via pump or gravity-fed system
- Suitable Substrates: Brick, natural stone, blockwork, and lime-based mortar
Application Instructions
- Drill Injection Holes: Horizontally into the mortar bed at the appropriate height (typically 150mm above ground level).
- Inject Fluid: Use a suitable pressure or gravity injection tool to fill each hole until refusal.
- Absorption & Reaction: Allow the fluid to diffuse through the substrate and form the damp-proof barrier.
- Replastering: Once the wall begins to dry, re-finish with a breathable renovating plaster or render.
Limitations
- Do not apply to saturated or frozen walls.
- Replaster using suitable salt-resistant render to complete the system.
