Rapid-Setting Hydraulic Plug for Sealing Active Water Leaks
Mapei Lamposilex is a rapid-setting, cement-based hydraulic mortar designed to instantly stop water ingress through cracks, joints, or holes in masonry and concrete structures. Commonly referred to as a "waterplug," Lamposilex expands as it sets, creating a mechanical seal even under pressure. It is ideal for use in waterproofing applications where active leaks need immediate control — including basements, tunnels, tanks, and foundations.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Instant Leak Sealing: Stops active water flow within seconds of application.
-
Expanding Seal: Expands during curing to tightly seal against water pressure.
-
Fast Setting Time: Sets in 2 minutes or less, depending on ambient temperature.
-
High Strength: Once cured, forms a durable and permanent seal resistant to pressure and moisture.
-
Compatible with Waterproofing Systems: Can be overcoated with tanking slurries or membranes such as Biokil Crown Toptank or Newton 508.
