The Biokil Crown Bower Beam method of joist-end replacement eliminates most of the work of the traditional methods and leaves the floor joist as strong as before and clear of the damp wall.

The Biokil Crown Bower Beam is designed for use on joist widths ranging from 50mm to 152mm (approx. 2-6 inches). Each unit comprises two ‘L’ shaped sections supplied complete with fixings. New ceilings can be fixed to all types.

Sizes

BM6 -   Designed to support joists where decayed timber is cut back up to 150mm (approx. 6 inches from the joist end)

BM9 -   Designed to support joists where decayed timber is cut back up to 230mm (approx. 9 inches from the joist end)

BM17 - Designed to support joists where decayed timber is cut back up to 430mm (approx. 17 inches from the joist end)

1. Cutting the joist end back to sound wood and applying preservative treatment.

2. Fixing a Biokil Crown Bower Beam to a joist end and into the existing wall socket.
