Specially developed to help maintain the spotless finish, this long-lasting treatment prevents staining and discolouration on patios and paths. Suitable for all stone types, it’s the ultimate black spot preventer for homeowners who want lasting protection without constant scrubbing or pressure washing.
Each 2.5 Litre container treats up to 50m² once diluted and is designed for use within 11–12 months of using Patio Black Spot Remover. When applied annually, it prevents black staining from returning, while also clearing away stains caused by green and red algae within 3–5 days of treatment. The result is cleaner, safer patios and pathways with minimal effort.
Unlike standard cleaners, our Patio Black Spot Preventer works proactively to protect your surfaces from future damage, maintaining the natural colour and appearance of your stonework. It’s a safe, effective way to stop stubborn staining and keeps slippery areas under control.
Patio Black Spot Preventer is pet-friendly. We recommend you keep pets off the area whilst applying the product. Once dry, it’s instantly safe for pets to walk on the area.
Application Instructions

Choose the right day – Apply on a dry day when no rain is forecast for at least 48 hours.

Mix the solution – To treat 20m², fill a 5–7 litre garden sprayer with 3 litres of water. Add 1 litre of Patio Black Spot Preventer (always add the Preventer to water to avoid bubbling).

Apply generously – Spray evenly across an area no larger than 20m² (4×5 metres) until saturated.

Repeat as needed – For larger areas, mix fresh solution and repeat until all paving is covered.

Allow to dry – Do not rinse off; simply let the surface dry naturally.
Maintenance Tip: If stains caused by green algae appears in shaded or north-facing areas during the 12 months after treatment, simply apply to those areas for ongoing protection and safety.
