Product & Technical Details

Instructions for Use
- Ensure the post top is sound, level and free of debris. Treat any fresh cut end-grain with a suitable preservative.
- Position the cap centrally on the post top. Align edges with post faces.
- Fix in place where required using stainless/galvanised exterior screws through pre-drilled pilot holes, or a compatible exterior adhesive. Do not overtighten.
- If over-painting, lightly key the surface and follow the paint manufacturer’s guidance.
Limitations & Precautions
- Fit only to sound, stable posts. Replace severely split or decayed timber before capping.
- Use corrosion-resistant fixings suitable for external use.
- When painting, abrade lightly and ensure coatings are compatible with zinc-plated finishes.
