Mapei Elastocolor Primer
Solvent-Based Elastomeric Primer for Cracked or Porous Masonry Prior to Elastocolor Paint Systems
Mapei Elastocolor Primer is a solvent-based, elastomeric primer designed to promote adhesion and regulate absorbency on substrates subject to cracking or with poor surface cohesion. It penetrates deep into porous masonry and cementitious renders, consolidating the substrate and preparing it for finishing with Elastocolor waterproofing and protective coatings. It is ideal for facades, exterior walls, and concrete surfaces exposed to weather and movement.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Deep Penetration: Strengthens and consolidates surfaces with weak cohesion or surface dusting.
-
Crack Bridging Support: Forms a flexible, elastic base coat compatible with Elastocolor Paint and Elastocolor Waterproof systems.
-
Improves Adhesion: Ensures consistent bonding between the substrate and the elastomeric finish coat.
-
Weather Resistant: Prepares surfaces for long-term external protection against rain, wind, and UV radiation.
-
Fast Drying: Rapid recoat time reduces project delays, ideal for commercial and facade refurbishment work.
