Mapei Elastocolor Pittura is a single-component, water-based acrylic resin paint designed to provide long-lasting protection and decoration for concrete and cementitious surfaces. Its elastomeric properties allow it to bridge hairline cracks, offering a flexible, waterproof, and breathable coating that resists aggressive atmospheric agents.

• Consistency: Thick liquid.
• Density (EN ISO 2811-1): Approximately 1.37 g/cm³.
• Dry Solids Content (EN ISO 3251): Approximately 63%.
• Dilution Rate: 10–15% with water.
• Application Temperature Range: +5°C to +35°C.
• Waiting Time Between Coats: 12–24 hours, depending on humidity and temperature.
• Consumption: 0.2–0.4 kg/m² per coat.
• Packaging: 20 kg plastic buckets.
• Storage: 24 months in a dry place at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.

Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Repair any damaged areas with suitable Mapei mortars.
2. Priming: Apply a suitable primer such as Malech, Quarzolite Base Coat, or Elastocolor Primer, depending on substrate conditions.
3. Mixing: Dilute Elastocolor Pittura with 10–15% water and mix thoroughly until homogeneous.
4. Application: Apply by brush, roller, or spray in at least two coats, ensuring the previous coat is completely dry before applying the next.
5. Cleaning: Clean tools and equipment with water before the product dries.

Limitations

• Not suitable for waterproofing horizontal surfaces or areas subject to constant water immersion.
• Do not apply on damp substrates or in conditions of high humidity (>85%).
• Avoid application in direct sunlight or if rain is expected.
