Primer & Sealer for Porous or Weathered Masonry
Kingfisher Weatherflex Stabilising Solution is a solvent-free, fine-particle, pure acrylic ester copolymer primer, sealer, and stabiliser for masonry surfaces. It is specifically formulated to harden friable or chalking substrates, ensuring a stable base for subsequent coatings. This solution enhances adhesion, improves the depth of colour finish, and often reduces the amount of paint required.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Stabilises & Hardens: Effectively binds and primes chalking or dusty surfaces, preparing them for painting.
-
Improves Adhesion: Enhances the bond between the substrate and masonry paint, promoting a longer-lasting finish.
-
Reduces Paint Consumption: By sealing porous surfaces, it often decreases the amount of paint needed.
-
Quick Drying: Dries within 4–8 hours under normal conditions, allowing for timely application of topcoats.
-
Easy Application: Ready to use with brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer.
-
Solvent-Free: Eco-friendly formulation with low VOC content.
Ideal For
- Stabilising friable or "soft" masonry due to weathering.
- Priming chalking surfaces prone to dusting.
- Preparing newly cement-rendered surfaces for painting.
- Reducing absorbency of porous exterior surfaces like brick, stone, and concrete.
