Secure Fixings for Cavity Drain and Damp-Proofing Membranes
Safeguard Dryzone Fixing Plugs are high-quality, impact-resistant plugs designed for the secure installation of cavity drainage and damp-proofing membranes to walls and other solid substrates. Suitable for use with Dryzone membranes and other mesh or studded membrane systems, these plugs ensure long-term mechanical stability while preventing moisture ingress at the fixing point.
Each plug is supplied with an integrated sealing washer, providing a watertight barrier once the plug is driven into the pre-drilled hole. The plugs can also be used to fix battens or tracking systems in internal waterproofing setups, making them an essential component of any damp-proofing or basement tanking project.

Application Instructions
-
Drill Holes: Use a masonry drill bit (usually 8–10mm) to create holes at the recommended spacing (typically 250mm centres).
-
Insert Plug: Position the membrane and drive the plug through the membrane into the pre-drilled hole.
-
Seal & Secure: Ensure the integrated washer is compressed against the membrane for a tight seal.
-
Optional Fixings: Insert screws into the central recess to attach battens or other materials if required.
Limitations
- Not suitable for use on loose or soft substrates without additional anchoring methods.
- Ensure proper drilling depth and alignment for secure fixing and sealing.
Health & Safety
