Universal Acrylic Primer for Interior Substrates
Mapei Eco Prim T Plus is a solvent-free, low-odour acrylic primer in water dispersion, designed to improve the adhesion of levelling compounds on all absorbent and non-absorbent interior surfaces. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of substrates, ensuring optimal preparation before applying smoothing compounds or adhesives.

- Universal Application: Suitable for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates, including cementitious, gypsum, wood, ceramic, and natural stone surfaces.
- Eco-Friendly: Solvent-free with very low VOC emissions (EMICODE EC1 Plus), ensuring a healthier working environment.
- Easy to Apply: Ready-to-use light blue liquid, applied by brush or roller.
- Versatile Use: Acts as an adhesion promoter, insulator between gypsum and concrete, dust fixative, and absorption regulator.
- Fast Drying: Drying time varies from 0 to 60 minutes, depending on substrate and environmental conditions.
Product Details
- Colour: Light blue.
- Packaging: Available in 5 kg and 20 kg drums.
- Consumption: Approximately 0.10–0.20 kg/m², depending on substrate porosity and application method.
- Application Temperature: +5°C to +35°C.
- Storage: Stable for at least 12 months in original sealed packaging; protect from frost.
Application Instructions
- Surface Preparation: Ensure substrates are uniformly dry, sound, and free from dust, loose particles, paint, wax, oil, rust, or other contaminants.
- Application: Apply Eco Prim T Plus using a brush or roller. For absorbent substrates, dilute with water at a ratio of 1:2; use undiluted on non-absorbent substrates.
- Drying Time: Allow to dry for 0–60 minutes, depending on substrate and environmental conditions, before applying levelling compounds or adhesives.
Limitations
- For interior use only.
- Apply only on moisture-stable wood.
- Do not apply on substrates subject to rising damp.
Cleaning of Tools
Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Once dried, remove using alcohol or Pulicol 2000.
