Biokil Crown 8mm Membrane – Clear is a robust, high-capacity cavity drainage membrane designed for internal waterproofing applications in basements, retaining walls, and other below-ground structures. Manufactured from clear high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the membrane features 8mm studs that create an air gap between the substrate and internal finishes, allowing water to drain freely into a perimeter drainage system or sump. The clear construction allows for visual inspection of the substrate during installation, making it ideal for damp-proofing and structural waterproofing.

Application Instructions

Prepare Substrate: Ensure wall or floor surface is stable and free from sharp projections or loose materials.

Cut & Fit: Trim the membrane to size using a utility knife or shears, ensuring full coverage of the surface.

Fixing: Use appropriate fixing plugs with seals at 250mm centres. Seal around plug heads if required using mastic.

Sealing & Finishing: Overlap sheets by at least one stud column and seal with jointing tape or overtape. Connect to drainage or sump system as specified.
Limitations
- Not suitable as a standalone waterproofing system without drainage provision.
- Internal finishes should not be applied directly to the membrane without an appropriate air gap or lining system.
