Mapei Silancolor Cleaner Plus is a water-based, odourless cleaning solution designed to treat surfaces affected by algae and mould before applying protective coatings. It penetrates deeply into substrates, providing a thorough hygienising action that removes biological growth and prepares the surface for subsequent treatments within the Silancolor Plus system.

Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, sound, and dry. Remove any loose material, oil, or grease. Repair any cracks or damaged areas with suitable Mapei repair mortars.
2. Product Preparation: Stir Silancolor Cleaner Plus thoroughly before use. Depending on the level of biological contamination, it can be applied neat or diluted up to 1:3 with water.
3. Application: Apply the product evenly using a low-pressure manual spray gun or brush. Allow it to penetrate the surface for a few minutes.
4. Cleaning Action: While the surface is still damp, remove algae and mould residues with a brush. Repeat the application if necessary to ensure thorough cleaning.
5. Drying: Allow the treated surface to dry completely, typically 12–24 hours, before applying subsequent products from the Silancolor Plus system.

Limitations

• Do not apply on metal surfaces.
• Do not apply if the temperature is below +5°C or above +35°C.
• Do not apply on wet surfaces or if rain is expected within 8 hours of application.

Cleaning of Tools

Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use, before the product dries.
