Two-Component Fast-Drying Waterproof Coating for Balconies, Terraces, and External Surfaces

Mapei Mapelastic Turbo is a high-performance, two-component, flexible cementitious waterproofing membrane designed for quick application on balconies, terraces, and horizontal surfaces exposed to rain and water. Formulated to cure rapidly even at low temperatures and high humidity, it allows tile installation after just 4 hours. Suitable for both new builds and refurbishments, Mapelastic Turbo is ideal for waterproofing under tile finishes where fast turnaround is essential.

Application Instructions

Substrate Preparation: Clean and sound, free from dust, grease, and loose materials. Dampen the surface before applying.
Mixing: Pour component B (liquid) into a container and slowly add component A (powder), mixing to a lump-free paste.
Apply First Coat: Use a brush, roller, or trowel to apply the first layer. Embed Mapetex reinforcement if required.
Apply Second Coat: After approx. 1–2 hours, apply the second layer perpendicular to the first.
Tiling: Begin tiling after approx. 4 hours using a suitable Mapei adhesive.

Limitations

Not suitable for areas with continuous water immersion (e.g., swimming pools).
Must be protected with tile or other appropriate finishes — not a wearing surface.
